Between the living and dining I want a wide opening with no door. How?
How do I put a passage or an opening without a door?

SOLUTION
Use the Opening tool instead of Door. It cuts the wall like a door but leaves the gap open, and shows as an opening in 3D. You can set its width and height in the properties panel.
For doors, the swing can be flipped four ways from the selection bar.
